Found this morning:

Apple is currently seeking an engineer for its iPod hardware division. However, they are not looking for just any engineer. They are seeking an engineer with WiFi and Video integration experience.

“The iPod group is looking for a Hardware Engineer. This person will be an individual contributor on a top notch team with responsibilities for the design, implementation, and integration of digital and analog electronics. Experience in the following areas is important: system integration, digital logic, SDRAM, Flash, ASIC?s, processor selection, ATAPI, various communication protocols (ie: GSM, Bluetooth, IEEE 802.11, Firewire, and USB), display types and video and analog integration.”

I’d certainly pick one of those up off the shelves

Everyone threw a surprise party for me last night. It was great. We have a BBQ, lots to drink, and a great time. I went down to grandad’s to set up a DVD player for him. When I got back, they’d decked out the back room with baloons, banners etc, and everyone was there. I had no idea :). I was very pleased, cause I figured that my family weren’t going to do anything to celebrate. I should have known……

And they’d bought me a cake as well. It was a seriously big fella. And for some reason, grandma and grandad dressed up in these wierd costumes, like a hooker. Very disturbing!!!

Very, very pleased!

The long wait is nearly over, as GCSE results day looms ahead tomorrow. I’m not sure what to expect really! - I’m predicted straight A*’s, but that is incredibly unlikely. I expect I’ll get some A*’s, some A’s and a B in french.

Without doubt, I’ll definitely get a U in advanced Maths. Anything other that that would be a miracle. GCSE maths however should offer an A or A*. I only need 5 C’s to move on to Greenhead, and I don’t expect that should be a problem.

It’s a wierd feeling - I don’t feel nervous (because nothing really hangs in the balance), but I’m kind of looking forward to finding out what the effort I put in has amounted to. However, I’m nowhere near as worried now as I was at the time, when taking the exams. They seemed like such as big deal at the time, and looking back, I’m glad I put the work in, but I’m less worried about the results now as I was when I was taking the exams.
