Shuttle Box

Had a complete change of mind it appears now. Although the MSI Mega PC looks like an excellent piece of kit, it doesn’t offer the speed or upgradability that I need in order to purchase a PC barebones. However, arriving soon is the Shuttle SN95G5, a stunning system that supports AMD64 Socket 939 (packs a serious punch). I think that is the way I will end up going when I upgrade.

However, the problem is the price. For the whole system (DVD Writer, Box, AMD64 Processor, RAM, Graphics etc) I am looking at upwards of ?650.00. That’s a lot of money really, all things considered. I think I’ll end up hanging on for a few months before making any kind of real decision as to which way to go.

Got some cool features though:

* Mini aluminum barebone system
* Supports Athlon 64 with Socket 939
* Chipset: NVIDIA nForce3 Ultra
* Low noise with ICE-Heatpipe cooling, 9.2cm fan
* Supports 1GHz Hypertransport (2000MT/s)
* Serial ATA150 Raid 0,1
* Gigabit-LAN 1000MBit LAN
* 1x AGP (8X), 1x PCI (for simultaneous use)
* 2x DDR400 Dual Channel, 8x USB 2.0
* 6-channel-audio, firewire and more
* Shuttle Silent-X 240W PSU
