With the recent closure of SuprNova.org (one of my personal favourite bittorrent websites), I and many other web users have been looking round for a good quality alternative. I found several, including various Suprnova mirrors which seemed to have lived on. However, these are growing more and more hit and miss as to whether they are still online.

I was surprised to see this morning that another popular BitTorrent website, Loki Torrent, had publically announced that they are being sued by the MPAA. I presume that because record and film agencies are finding it so hard to target users of Peer to Peer file sharing programs, they are moving to target these large BitTorrent Tracker and Link websites. This is a good move from their point of view, because they are managing to cut off many people at the same time from filesharing (rather than the recent stream of lawsuits, only aimed at individuals).

Loki Torrent are now requesting help to cover their expected legal costs. If you are feeling generous, please donate to help stop them folding in the same way Suprnova were forced to.
