Style Switcher Update

Post Categories   Post Time 3 years, 7 months ago

I was previously having a problem with the style switcher on the site, which was leading to there being a delay with the style sheet being applied to a new page. This was a definite problem, as it meant that every time you loaded a new page you saw what it looked like without the stylesheet being applied first, it looked nasty. I’ve managed to fix it, by moving all the colour-specific code out of the browser-specific style sheet files, meaning that the main stylesheet can be applied before the browser-specific changes are made/added. It works much better now.

I’ve also added a new colour scheme, a purple/pink combination which looks quite effective. Using a few vector graphics from the ever amazing iStockPhoto. Whenever I’m in need of graphic inspiration, that’s where I go. I might also be having a go at writing a few simple plugins over the next couple of days. I’ll have to see how much time I have!
