I went to Derbyshire (Matlock) this weekend, with most of my family. It was a great trip, and the cottage we stayed at was gorgeous. It looked fairly delapidated at first, but was stunning inside. It had five bedrooms, and a great lounge. The log fire was a great novelty, but my favourite aspect was certainly a huge dining table which converted into a pool table. That provided for some very relaxing afternoons.

Another brilliant addition to the cottage was a spacious games room. This included a pool table, table tennis table, table football, darts board and a keyboard. Great fun! We took a few trips while we were there, including one to a great park and another to Bakewell.

It was great to spend some time with my little cousin Sam, he’s only a few months old, and he’s as cute as anything. As usual, it was all over far too soon, but it really was a great weekend. I’m really pleased that I have the rest of this week off on holiday though - plenty of work to be getting on with.
