New Sony Ericsson Lineup

Post Categories   Post Time 3 years, 9 months ago

As some of you may know, I’m a huge Sony Ericsson advocate and I’ve gone through several of their phones. I’ve just spotted previews of a couple of new phones in their lineup. One is an update to my K700i (which I love), and another is a branch off into a Walkman style MP3 phone.

The K750i
This is the update to my handset, and it appears to add several worthy new features. It looks pretty sleek in black or silver, and I love the addition of a memory card slot. It’s graced with a 2 megapixel camera (the same as the camera I actually use for photography) as well as USB connectivity. Oh, and they’ve finally put a cover over the damn camera on the back - it won’t get all dirty and grimed up any more!

The W800i
This is a different direction for Sony Ericsson, offering a 512mb equipped phone, designed as primarily a music player. It sports all the standard “Walkman” Sony branding, and looks pretty cool. First impressions are that it seems very thin! It has a dedicated stop/start button, and music can be played even with the phone turned off. Not sure about the orange though… Interestingly, Sony Ericsson have decided not to launch an American version of this phone!

The W800i looks like a lot of fun!! I’m mad that they aren’t going to bring it to the US. I’d love to replace my T610 with the W800i. Especially with these new iTunes/Motorola phones promised soon…
