Where’s My Mac?

Post Categories   Post Time 3 years, 9 months ago

My Mac Mini should be posted sometime in the next 3 days. Judging by other people’s experiences, I should already have it by now. However, Apple’s dispatch date remains firmly set at Thursday, so I’ll just have to wait it out!

You’re a very lucky man. I would buy a Mac Mini but I’m about to blow most of my savings on a very nice flat panel monitor, and I could never put an Apple system next to an ugly beige CRT. :P

Absolutely! - I bought a new TFT around Christmas time, and it was a great investment. You use it so much!

David - just out of curiosity, which monitor did you buy?

  5. David Appleyard Says:

Well, the sooner the better William

Arman - Have a read here:

Hope that helps :) - I think it’s an absolutely superb monitor

i have a ViewSonic VP171s which is a 16MS model, although they have just started producing them with 8MS panels, not sure its that noticable and although they are expensive for 17″ (around ¬£280 inc vat last time i looked) they are top quality screens and perfect for people who enjoy playing computer games or watching movies on their pc.

  7. Arman Choobineh Says:

Yeah, the ViewSonics look like the best, but I looked at them in real life and the image quality seemed below par.

  8. William Jones Says:

can depend how you hook them up and i would agree that without the correct drivers the colours were slighly saturated on mine, however using a dvi connection straight into my computer the image is fantastic, many shops use the d-sub analouge connection from a buffer box so that could explain the lower image quality

  9. David Appleyard Says:

I’ve never really known why they do that - You’d think it would be in their best interests to ensure that the picture quality is great!
