Alton Towers 2005
3 years, 4 months ago A few mates and I have decided to go to the Alton Towers christian music festival this year. One of them went to the 2004 event and found it to be fantastic. It’s on the 14th May, and involves a day going round the theme park and a huge music concert in the evening. Apparently, there were 12,000 people there last year - it’s a big setup.
There are some big names on the line-up, including Newsboys, Rock and Roll Worship Circus, Supervision and Superchick. No Delirious or Third Day, but a good set of music nonetheless. I’m really looking forward to it.
On a side note, I might be going to see a guy called Shane Lynch (of Boyzone fame) to give a testimony and speak about his faith. Lots of cool stuff coming up!

Last year was absolutely brilliant! I managed to get right at the front and the atmosphere was amazing. People further back said it was far too quiet so unless the event at the end has been moved out of the car park it’s worth getting there early!

I don’t know if I can go this year, but Rock and Roll Worship Circus were really good earlier this year.

Yeah - I saw them supporting Delirious? earlier this year, they were great. I can’t wait to go - you should try to get a ticket, definitely

Admittedly, I am not in the “Christian” music sub-culture like I used to be, but I haven’t heard of “Rock and Roll Worship Circus”. I will have to find a cd or two and see what it sounds like. Sounds crazy enough.
On another note, I had no idea you are a believer. Again, though, I haven’t been subscribed to your blog long…so I likely missed any mentions of this fact. Always glad to see good tech bloggers who are believers!

Absolutely!
I’ve just started doing some voluntary work in a Christian Bookshop in Halifax (just one afternoon a week). They run a system where if you commit to buy 5 CD’s a year, you can rent one per week, every week. It’s a fantastic idea because it really gives you a deep knowledge of the music scene, and means you only buy what you really like listening to!

Hay, Ultimate Event ROCKED this year. The bands were amazing, Newsboys and Superchic(k) were the best. Missed Rebecca St James this year though. If you wanna view my 2005 pics go to my piczo.com site. Cheers

hi im beth i went to alton towers ultimate event last year it was the best event i had been to in a long time me and my youth group are going we all went last year and enjoyed it so much that we have decided to go again its fab beth
