A while ago, I posted an article about a funny MP3 circulating the Internet, The eBay Song. I put the MP3 file up here for people to download, purely as a bit of fun. Unfortunately, it wasn’t that simple.

Ironically, I found that links to the MP3 file hosted on my server were being sold on eBay itself. Granted, they weren’t really selling for much, but I was pretty annoyed when the culprit managed to eek gigabytes of bandwidth from my site without me noticing. At first, I presumed the traffic was just from lots of interest in the song - until I took the file down.

Then I found that I got a couple of emails from disgruntled people who had bought the link on eBay only to find it wasn’t working! Sales such as this one. Can’t believe that people can be so stupid! I can’t really report the offender, as it was quite a while ago now.

I might go after a piece of the pie though, and start selling the song myself.
