30gb Video iPod

I’ve had my old iPod for a good two years now, and it has served me incredibly well. However, with the new features in the iPod with Video, I’ve decided that it’s time to retire the old fella. That said, I’ve ordered a new white 30gb iPod Video, with a Universal Dock. It should be here by the end of the week, and I’m looking forward to being able to watch Scrubs on the bus!

From what I’ve seen of other people’s, it’s a great piece of kit, which will hopefully serve me well for the next two years to come.

Edit: Was dispatched today, so should be here soon. Two days ahead of estimate…

Edit: Arrived two weeks after shipping! It’s amazing though, well worth the wait. Brilliant piece of kit!

    What about your free Nano?

As nice as the nano is, it’s to fund the purchase of a video iPod. I need something more substantial than 4gb :)

i know what you mean when u need more than 4gb. how long have you had the nano…and how has it been working out for u so far? i’m looking at getting the new iPod also(although i’m really looking forward to the black…much nicer looking)…but i don’t want to have to pay the $300 dollars. I’ve been looking at referal companies that give out iPods..(or iPod nanos..as you did)..and i found an even better one. instead of refering 7 people…you only have to refer 5. fewer people means it’s easier. Instead of getting just a nano, you can choose if you want a nano or a 30gb iPod video. they are also the number one referal site for free iPods…and you can check them out at my blog:

thanks…and i’m looking forward to my free iPod!

i got my 60gb video pod last week, a nice upgrade from my 3rd gen 40gb one.

although i was wondering how you had found the video playback david, my first experiance with it was a PITA. it appears to be very fussy about what it will and wont play, i.e. it must be a specific resolution, encoded in a special format (H624?) etc.

so nartually i was quite dissapointed when i couldnt just dump 5 seasons of futurma that i have stored on my mac in mpeg2 format onto the ipod without going through the very painful and time consuiming process of converting them to quicktime.
