Inspired by this post, I thought it might be interesting to post some statistics from Design Shack, and discuss the details they bring to light. I’m not focusing on the numbers and figures, but more percentages and browser trends.

First of all, the platforms. Whilst it pains me to see it, over three quarters of our traffic comes from Windows machines. This is more or less what I’ve come to expect with the various platform shares out there at the moment. I’d have expected slightly higher Mac usage, as it’s a well known fact that designers are often swayed towards Macs.

We’ve got a lot of browsers! It’s great to see that despite the majority of users coming from Windows, most are using Firefox. I can’t complain about that, and having such a huge majority does make it easier to optimise for people using that specific system.

I think I’m a bit of a stats junkie!
